Last-Minute Halloween Costume Ideas

It’s Halloween and you completely forgot to get a costume. Or maybe you were planning on staying in for the night but you’ve scored a last-minute invite to a party. You’re in luck. Making a unique, last-minute, adult Halloween costume is a lot easier than you might think.
“It’s about how clever and resourceful you can be,” Mark Addison, a top New York City designing and entertaining expert, told ABCNews.com. “It’s how to take everyday household items and turn them into ‘spooktacular’ costumes.”
One of the easiest ways to make a costume is to take an old button-down shirt or a white T-shirt that has seen better days and turn it into something new. Many DIY costumes take under an hour to make and require absolutely no sewing. The most complicated tool that is needed is a hot glue gun, but if you don’t have that, regular glue will keep everything in place too.
An easy way to make an object or article of clothing look dirty and distressed is to rub charcoal on it, but keep in mind that it will be like that forever, so pick a piece of clothing you don’t plan on wearing again. Red food coloring is also great as fake blood.
It’s easy to make your own last-minute Halloween costume in just a few steps.

Costumes Megastore Partner With SEOMiracle.com To Offer And Promote Sexy … – Virtual
Costumes Megastore has a new collection of sexy costumes for Halloween. SEOMiracle.com helps Costumes Megastore to promote their top products.
Zeeland, MI (PRWEB) August 19, 2012
Halloween is getting closer each day, and it is now the time to purchase the perfect Halloween costume and avoid any regretting at that might come later. If a person already has a booked party, it is another reason to start going after his or her favorite sexy costume. Another reason to start with searching for the sexiest Halloween costumes is that no one wants to come to a party and be one of many Madonnas. A girl needs to pick a unique sexy costume which would be fun to wear as well. Costumes Megastore made sure their stock is filled with sexy costumes because that is what people used to buy the most.
Costumes Megastore is a store that specializes in adult Halloween costumes, and they offer a variety of Halloween costumes for kids and teens, as well. They decided to partner with SEOMiracle.com, one of the leading SEO companies in the United States, in order to promote Halloween sexy costumes, 2012.
One of the most successful sales people at Customer Megastore said, “Just as people say that the beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, sexy is also a relative term. When a person decides to wear a sexy costume on Halloween, it helps considering a personal view of the term sexy. By applying these, it will help a person to locate the best ones within minutes of entering the store. This is also another advantage of our store, which is the fact that we provide a number of costumes and cover many categories. Sexy costumes are some of the top selling products in our store, which include sexy storybook characters, sexy animals or career clothes.”
SEOMiracle.com has been promoting Halloween costumes from Costumes Megastore for quite a time and they always make sure to express the advantages of buying at Costumes Megastore, in this case when buying sexy costumes.

Closer Look: New AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Halloween Costumes
Halloween is still a few months away, but the new Amazing Spider-Man suit has already been turned into a Halloween costume. Halloween megastore HalloweenExpress.com has rolled out the collection just in time for the movie’s release which includes outfits for Gwen Stacy, The Lizard, and, of course, Spider-Man. I got one of the new Amazing Spider-Man costumes and I was really impressed with the quality of the suit. The new updates to Spider-Man’s outfit have all been transferred over to this costume. I’m a big fan of the new spider logo on the chest and the design on the legs, so it’s great to see these changes on here. The suit also includes the updated mask with yellow mesh eyes, which is my favorite part of the costume. Unlike many of its predecessors, this mask actually looks really awesome and doesn’t have any eye holes like the others did. In addition to the Spider-Man suit and mask, you can also order Amazing Spider-Man boots and gloves to complete your Spider-Man look. You’ll be the best dressed person at your Spider-Man showing if you wear one of these, I guarantee it! Take a look at more photos of Spider-Man’s suit below:

Sheriff apologizes for KKK costume
Cherokee County, GA (WSB) – A sheriff in Georgia now regrets the Halloween costume he wore more than 20 years ago.
Old photos have surfaced of Cherokee County’s sheriff wearing the white robe of the KKK.
“This is just the lowest of the low to infer whatever they’re attempting to infer there,” says Sheriff Roger Garrison.
He says what was supposed to be a funny costume at a Halloween party back in the 1980′s doesn’t seem so funny now.
“I don’t think anyone who knows me is going to think anything of this, but it’s just sickening. It’s sickening, and it hurts my family,” Sheriff Garrison explains.
He says he and a friend donned the Ku Klux Klan robes and hoods to copy a scene from the movie, “Blazing Saddles” and that he’s never espoused any of the KKK’s beliefs.
Candidate for Sheriff David Waters says, “It’s a statement that the suit makes, and to call that a joke, I don’t think a lot of people would laugh.”
His opponent, David Waters says someone showed him the photos a year ago, but he chose to ignore them and focus on his own campaign.
“It is a bad judgment call, and those type clothing represents hate, and I certainly don’t want any part of that,” Waters explains.
The sheriff says neither does he.
“I would just ask that they look at my honor and my integrity and the things we’ve done for this sheriff’s office,” Sheriff Garrison says.
He also says, “I don’t deny it wasn’t stupid, looking back now, but there again, I say what 21 or 22 year old in this world hasn’t made some stupid mistakes.”
Headless Boy Wins Patch Halloween Costume Contest
On Halloween, we asked you to post your kids’ photos for our Little Pumpkin Halloween Costume Contest. You did — and so did nearly 2,700 others across Patch sites nationwide.
We thought you would want to see the national winner — he’s a headless boy from Wyckoff Patch in New Jersey.
We also thought you’d want to peruse the photos of the other nine finalists — it’s never too early to start on next year’s Halloween costume, right?
And as for the 17 entries on Royal Patch, we are happy to report that Hayden Middlewood, age 6 of Royal Oak as Glinda the Good Witch, was advanced to the finals.
Although it’s not the whirlwind trip to New York (the grand prize), we’re donating $25 to Hayden’s chosen charity, the Royal Oak Animal Shelter.
Until next Halloween …
Charlie Sheen Winning Most Popular Halloween Costume

Charlie Sheen seems to be winning at a lot of things these days, including the race for best selling costume.
Spirit Halloween, the country’s largest Halloween retailer, released its predictions for most popular costumes and Sheen is at the top.
The Sheen mask, a cigarette and one of his winning T-shirts is all you need to make this costume complete.
Also popular this year, superheroes and pop culture icons. And it wouldn’t be Halloween without some gore thrown in.

Vet hosting animal costume party
Halloween isn’t just for humans this year, at least in Hartland Township.
On Oct. 29, Companion Animal Hospital of Hartland will organize a pet Halloween party from 2-4 p.m. — rain or shine — at Epley Park in downtown Hartland Township. The public is welcome to attend.
It’s called the Monster Mash, and Kathy Cardy, who handles marketing for the vet clinic, said there’s no better time to dress your pet in any ghoulish, ghastly or hokey Halloween attire.
“The clinic held a Monster Mash Halloween party last year for clients and pets, and had a number of people show up, and this year, we’re expanding it,” Cardy said. “People brought animals dressed up like you can’t believe, and most of them matched their animals. It was a great time and we want to do it again.”
This year, the clinic has sent out approximately 3,000 invitations, and those looking to attend should R.S.V.P. to the event at Companion Animal Hospital’s Web site at www.yourcompanionvet.com.
Responses must be received by Oct. 19.
Hot dogs, doughnuts, cider and more treats will be provided at the Monster Mash, and there will be a contest for the best pet costume.
“It’s going to be a great event for people to bring their pets and have fun,” Cardy said.

Costume swap can add up to Halloween savings
Children can switch out an old Halloween costume for a haunting
new outfit to trick-or-treat La Crosse area homes.
The Parenting Place is accepting gently used costumes for its
annual costume swap, which will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Oct. 8 at
its La Crosse location, 1500 Green Bay St.
The event, now in its fifth year, has been a popular way to save
on holiday spending for cash-strapped parents. Last year, about 40
families used the service, said Fran Swift, parent educator for the
organization.
“Everyone in the last few years has been really happy,” she
said.
The cost of buying new costumes every year can be a drain on
families, and the swap is one way to save —especially for families
who need to dress up more than one child, Swift said.
“Costumes are expensive,” she said. They often only wear them
the day of, and they outgrow them.”
The typical Halloween shopper will spend about $72.31 on candy,
decorations and costumes in 2011, a
9 percent increase from 2010, according to an annual consumer
survey conducted on behalf of the National Retail Federation.
Halloween spending is expected to reach about $6.86 billion
nationally.
Families will be handed tickets for each costume dropped off
before the Oct. 6 deadline. Donations are also welcome, Swift said.
Costumes are hung around the Parenting Place and visitors can
exchange tickets for a replacement.
The nonprofit will also have games, crafts and treats available
during the event for any potential swappers.
Costume swap organizer Fran Swift may be reached
at (608) 784-8125.
